How to Wash a Ceramic Coated Vehicle in Prescott Valley

Ceramic coating makes washing easier. It does not make washing optional.

In the Quad Cities, fine dust, hard water, and strong sun will still land on a coated car. The coating keeps contamination from bonding as tightly. Your job is to remove it before it sits and bakes on.

Why Washing Still Matters

A professional ceramic coating adds a hard, hydrophobic layer. Water beads. Dirt has a harder time sticking. That layer is not a force field. Dust is abrasive. Automatic washes drag grit.

Wash Routine

  1. Rinse first, and rinse well.
  2. Use a pH-neutral soap. No dish soap.
  3. Use clean, soft tools. Two-bucket or foam-and-mitt.
  4. Dry with a clean microfiber or blower to reduce mineral spots.
  5. Do not let droppings and sap sit.

What to Avoid

  • Dirty automatic tunnel washes
  • Dry wiping dust
  • Harsh degreasers on paint
  • Skipping washes for months because “it’s coated”
